| Voilà une nouvelle parue sur Brontëana et qui m'avait complètement échappé. Après sa saison Jane Austen, ITV prévoit donc une adaptation du roman d'Emily Brontë qui sera diffusée fin 2007-début 2008.

Classic costume drama remains a reliable crowd-puller, with the BBC's recent four-part adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's 'Jane Eyre' attracting 6.7m viewers for its final episode.ITV has already lined up three Jane Austen novels for next year: 'Mansfield Park', 'Northanger Abbey' and 'Persuasion'.
'Wuthering Heights', the only novel by Charlotte's sister Emily, is a darker tale of the twisted relationship between Heathcliff and Cathy, who comes back as a ghost to haunt her lover.The last TV version of the book was filmed in 1998 by LWT and starred Sarah Smart and Robert Cavanah. Film versions have starred Ralph Fiennes and Timothy Dalton as Heathcliff, and there are reports of Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie having been lined up to star in a new version. |
Au sujet de la dernière ligne, il y a effectivement eu des rumeurs en début d'année sur cette possible adaptation pour le grand écran, mais actuellement rien n'apparaît sur imdb. Tout de même, Johnny Depp en Heathcliff, pourquoi pas, mais Angelina Jolie en Cathy, OMG!

Pas à moi  
J'aime beaucoup WH, mais pourquoi encore et toujours des adaptations de JE et de WH ?! Et Villette  ?
Je me plains, mais j'ai hâte de savoir qui va interpréter Heathcliff et Catherine 
Qu'est-ce que tu as contre Angelina Jolie ? Elle est parfaite pour le rôle  ... Il faut faire des études pour être directeur de casting ?

Comme toi Cat, suis assez septique sur Angelina la pulpeuse pour Cathy ! 
Depp pourquoi pas, il peut avoir la puissance, la profondeur, l'intériorité et la folie de H.
Je suis même assez emballée de le voir enfin dans un rôle "classique ".
Si ça arrive, on va exploser le standard de l'auberge ..... ou saturer l'auberge avec nos débats sur tous ces chers H !!!

| Heu... j'aime bien Johnny Depp mais n'est-il pas un peu vieux pour le rôle? Quant à Angelina Jolie, ce sera sympa, elle pourra nous le faire façon "Lara Croft"  Dès fois on se demande si le casting ne vient pas avant l'histoire? Non, laissez, je crois que j'ai la réponse...

| pour Jonnhy, je trouve perso qu'il serait un super Heatcliff, il est très bon pour ibterpreter la folie et la décadence... il est très bon tout court...
mais alors Angelina Jolie, je vote contre!
ah non, alors là non... Cathie doit être fraiche et pas vulgaire comme elle... ça ne va pas du tout...

| Je vous avais signalé la nouvelle dans le topic wuthering heights (diverses versions)... Pour Johnny Depp, passe encore, mais alors Angelina jolie, c'est du grand n'importe quoi... Ils ont envie que ça tombe dans le vulgaire, ou quoi ???

J'adore Johnny Deep, mais vraiment, il n'a plus l'âge du rôle ! Et ne parlons pas de Lara Croft ! Cathy est supposée avoir 19ans quand elle meurt ! J  Mlle Jolie a beau être très belle, ce n'est pas le rôle ! 
 Il y a tant d'excellents acteurs anglais, pourquoi aller chercher des têtes d'affiches, le titre du film est la meilleure publicité qui soit. Je sens que l'adaptation culte n'est pas encore pour demain...

| Très honnêtement, je ne crois plus du tout toutes ces rumeurs de nouvelle adaptation de WH. C'est un roman très difficile à adapter et il est très rare qu'une version fasse l'unanimité...
Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi, pas la peine d'aller chercher des têtes d'affiche...

| Je voudrais tout de même préciser que la version Depp/Jolie a tout d'une rumeur mais que le topic concerne une version ITV (bien sûr les acteurs devraient être nettement moins "people") qui a été mentionnée par plusieurs sources, encore récemment, et devrait donc se concrétiser assez rapidement, surtout si les adaptations ITV/Austen ont du succès.

| Je ne suis pas contre une nouvelle version de WH meme si pour moi (apres Brandon/Alan je vais passer pour la fille bornée mais bon...) Heathcliff restera Ralph Fiennes. Je pense que s'ils veulent faire une mini serie ou un telefilm il n'y a aucune chance que ce soit avec Johnny Depp et Anglina Jolie. Si un film avec eux sort par contre, je pense que Depp serait un tres bon Heathcliff (un peu vieux peut etre mais il y a encore des roles ou il parrait si jeune que je ne trouve pas ca genant) Quant a Angelina Jolie,  mais a la limitte je n'avais pas aimé Juliette Binoche dans le role donc...partante pour une nouvelle Cathy!

| Je le rappelle encore : la rumeur Depp/Jolie n'avait aucun lien avec l'adaptation ITV! Si on veut discuter encore sur cette bizarre idée Depp/Jolie, il faudra ouvrir un topic séparé ou alors je vais devoir ouvrir à nouveau un topic pour cette pauvre adaptation ITV.

| Enfin des nouvelles! Bon, ce n'est pas grand chose, juste une mention dans un article par ailleurs fort intéressant sur les costume drama diffusés récemment et ceux prévus cette année, mais l'auteur en parle au moins comme un fait acquis: l'adaptation de Wuthering Heights sur ITV est bien prévue en 2008.
